Empowering yourself and 72 days homeless

For the victims of Sandy who are now. more than 72 days without a home, I address how important it is to remember now that you life is worth living.  You are valuable to yourself and to your loved ones.

When good things are not happening in your life naturally, you can create a new paradigm.  You can elevate the quality of your life by empowering yourself now. If you have faith, surrender to it: God, Jevohah, Jesus, whatever you call it, surrender to it now. Once you surrender to your higher self and get out of the thinking that where you are is all there is, you become empowered. Instead of getting stuck in the frustration, resentment, or anger over what your life has become, all the emotions that bring on disease, let your faith be your assistance and empower you. You will feel the immediate, unlimited power of Spirit.  A life that is worth living is a surrendered life. There is something greater than government. And you are that greatness. As you let go and become one with the power (whatever you name it), your old idea of life begins to disintegrate. Choose to surrender daily to the power through affirmative prayer, meditation and contemplation, and your life will be transformed beyond your expectations.  Trust the journey.twitter.com/RevWaukena

Create a Powerful Environment

Having an empowered life includes an environment that supports and nourishes you. When you came into this world, you made demands right from the start. When you were hungry you cried. While you no longer cry when you are uncomfortable and there's likely no one who comes to you to make you feel good again if you should, there are things you can do to create an environment that works or you.

Empowerment is from within. There are no shortcuts to power. It is a process you go through where you awaken to a higher consciousness. You gradually form new habits of behavior including the way you think.

Most behaviors are not genetic; they are a product of your early childhood development and life experiences. You can easily form new behaviors.

Empowerment includes what is in your physical world too. Do you surround yourself with empowering people who think powerfully so that you can be nourished and supported in a powerful way?
Who you surround yourself with is instrumental in nourishing your environment.

How you think can be empowering or it can be dis-empowering. You don't become powerful from certificates, degrees or promotions on the job. You may hold powerful positions, but that does not make you empowered. Being empowered is not about controlling others. It is an aware person whose level of consciousness transcends conditions and experiences. An empowered person is astute to his or her surroundings and observes them objectively. You respond rather than react to people, places and things.
