STAYING ON COURSE

Watching the waves roll as the ship glides through them, the Caribbean Sea reminds me of how our life can unfold in a most powerful way.
On our way to Caymen Islands having had a day at sea followed by an afternoon in Jamaica, I was spending some quiet time outside on the ship's Lido deck . The water's depth at this point is approximately 2680 feet and powerful beyond measure. The ship is approximately 2534 tons of iron and steel, a force that moves on its course moving gracefully through the magnificent azure blue waters.

Here you stand with a mind as powerful as the mighty ship. Our youth is spent guided by others until we, at the least, get out of high school. Once we enter college we usually know what direction we want. If we are not sure there are counselors available to assist us. But for the most part we enter college ready to follow the course that calls to us. Not all of us can stay the course for four years and take a little longer to graduate. And some of us have a course that leads to Graduate School.

When you have setbacks in life, you move on and not let the temporary barriers stop you from getting where you want to go. Look at any person who has invested thousands of dollars in their education and fails one class. They take another class until they pass it. Sometimes it means taking the same class over again. What you know is that if you keep your eye on your goal you advance closer to your destination, sometimes a lot faster than even before. It is just a matter of taking life as it comes and move through challenges with ease and confidence. Like the ship, to do otherwise would be foolish. If the ship's captain decided to call it quits in the middle of the cruise there would be a mutiny by the passengers.
The captain stays focused on where he is going and handles whatever comes up. Sometimes passengers get sick and have to be airlifted to the closest hospital that may require changing course. This happened on a cruise to the Panama Canal last year and we could not go to Aruba as planned. We went to Jamaica instead because we needed to arrive at the canal in the appointed time for the ship to enter the lock. The captain was not at all disturbed by the complaints of the passengers and just stayed the course prepared to change it every time it became necessary, with the final destination in mind.

Our lives are a lot like the ship in the ocean. We forge ahead by remaining focused on our destination. When we get distracted, we identify what is really important to us and remove those activities that get in the way. It's extraordinary how quickly your priorities can change when you want something and are determined to get it. You are guaranteed to arrive at your destination when you keep an optimistic outlook and unwavering confidence. You become very adept at tailoring your path every time you remember your course and stay on it.
Your power is in believing you can go wherever you want and thinking about how to maneuver through life to get there.

Knowing Your Power

Being empowered is knowing how power works. Knowing the Law of Attraction, Karma, Cause and Effect, whatever you name it is using this Power for good that is yours effectively. Take a look at the Article below on Law of attraction
written by Christie Whitman and begin activating Your Power with results you desire.

The Law Of Attraction

The Law of Attraction states that whatever is broadcast out into the universe is joined by (or attracted to) energies that are of an equal frequency, resonance or vibration. The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the Universe. Everything in the Universe is energy. All energy has a vibration, radiates a signal, and attracts a matching signal back. Thoughts and feelings are also energy. When we send out our thoughts, our thoughts have a certain vibration, which then radiates a signal, and a matching signal is then sent back to the source of that signal. If we think thoughts of abundance, that vibration is sent out into the universe. The abundance signal is sent out and we receive back matching energy in the form of abundance. The same is true if we arethinking thoughts of lack or limitation. If we are feeling that something we have in our experience is not good enough, we are sending out that vibration and signal and the universe by the Law of Attraction brings us more of what we think is not good enough. The Law of Attraction delivers both what is wanted and what is unwanted depending on the signal we send out to the Universe. You attract what you are and that which you concentrate upon. If you are feeling negative emotions, you draw in and experience negativity. If you are feeling positive emotions, you draw in and experience positive life experiences. You can attract to you only those qualities you possess. So, if you want freedom and joy in your life, you must feel what it already feels like to feel freedom and joy in your life right now. This Universal Law demonstrates how we create the things, events, and people that come into our lives. Our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn, attract like energies.

The Law of Attraction, also known as Cause and Effect or Sowing and Reaping is, like all Universal Laws, extremely important to understand and implement if you are to learn to purposefully and consciously attract the things into your life that you most desire. It is equally as important is to learn how not to attract those things that you do not desire. Most of us are focused on what we don’t want, and with our attention on what we don’t want, we create more of what we don’t want. The way to work in alignment with the Law of Attraction is to be aware of what you are giving your attention to. Whatever we give our energy, focus, and attention to, whether wanted or unwanted is what we will attract into out lives. For those that choose to consciously and deliberately create a life of abundance and joy, becoming aware of how this law works is very important. The Law of Attraction, like all the Universal laws, is verifiable, unwavering and predictable. You can then implement it, to attract to yourself, the things that prior to this knowledge, seemed to happen only by chance. How you deliberately choose your thoughts and feelings is important in order to become a person that deliberately creates your life.

Scientific Look at The Law Of Attraction I am not a scientific type of person. When I first started to apply the Law of Attraction, I had no idea how it worked, nor did I care. I just wanted to see extraordinary results in my life, so I started to apply it. My life literally changed over night. I created money out-of-the-blue, top rankings in my profession, my dream house and since then have created my ideal relationship, my dream car, success in my business, and my ideal career. There is no doubt in my mind that the Law of Attraction is a viable and powerful force. I have personally seen the amazing power it has had not only in my life, but in all of the many lives of my coaching clients. My point is, you don’t have to know how it works to work with it.

But . . . for you more analytical people that want to know how it works, there is an example of how to explain this law in the full ebook, The Laws of the Universe:You must know what you are wanting and where you want to go in your life. You must consciously direct the power. Clarity through contrast-observe what you want and get clarity by noticing what you don’t want. There is a process for this in the ebook. Make a list of your desires. For 15 minutes every day work, change, and upgrade the list. Keep silent about this. Get in a good feeling place (good vibration) about your un- manifested desires. Writing in a journal is the act of growing and empowering yourself. Writing what you think and feel allows you to bring forth what beliefs you hold and affirming your truth. It also allows you to release anything you no longer want to carry in mind. Some questions you can ask yourself and then write the answers in your journal are

What am I passionate about?

How do I want this day to unfold (if you write at the beginning of the day)?

And, if you write at the end of the day, list those things that were inspiring to you and what you feel appreciation for about your day.

Keeping a journal gives you a true perspective on yourself. Everytime you record, you are checking your inner compass to know what direction you are going. You need that reflection back to remind you of your purpose, especially whether you are living your life “on purpose” or not. It’s a great way to redirect your thinking when needed. You are guided by your feelings when you write.

To achieve real empowerment, you need to be confident and at peace with every part of you. The hardest part of getting started is to just do it. Celebrate that you desire to be more than you are right where you are. Honor your journey and the courage it takes for you to go deeper into self-contemplation. You must have some reason for wanting to become empowered or more empowered. Perhaps you experienced some kind of discontent with yourself, or you experienced feeling powerless. Whatever the reason, you are motivated to start. Know that right where you are is okay. Celebrate that you have said “yes” to life. When I attended meetings at the New York Road Runners Club during my trainings for the marathon, the one thing that inspired me the most was that the facilitator said, “if you get to the start at the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in Staten Island, the first island of five that you will run through, you are already a winner.” You are already successful.

You are always in a good place when you are at the beginning. In other words if you don’t like where you are in life and want to change, it doesn’t matter because becoming cognizant of how you feel, brings you to the beginning of something new. That’s good because now you start out knowing what not to do. Therefore, your chances are greater. Whatever you set out to do, you will be successful. And if not, you just come back to the beginning and start again until you get it the way you want it to be. Instead of focusing on everything you disliked about your life, you get more inspired to succeed at what you desire.
